Vet here....few questions for the community...

I just got out of the Air force last month and am looking to go back to school. Just made a few phone calls to schedule some appointments regarding career assessment/guidance for what college to go to and for the life of me, I couldn't understand most of what the person on the other line was trying to tell me. The appointments are scheduled but I'm hoping somebody has been in my shoes and can help me with these questions....

I was told I needed tax information? What kind of tax information do I need to take with me?

I was told I need something proving I'm a Colorado resident? I'm originally from Michigan so all my ID's I have are from there. Is there anything else I can bring proving I live here in Colorado? Also, I'm living with me g/f down here and am not yet on the lease so that's a no-go as well.

Sorry if the questions are a bit elementary, but transitioning into the civilian world has been hectic as hell and I'm finding I'm not nearly as prepared as I thought I would be.

Thank for any help!!!

Information used to file income tax returns is typically the same information needed to apply for financial aid at colleges and universities.

Colorado residency for the purpose of getting lower in-state tuition at Colorado public universities and community colleges is described here:
