I am actively looking to apply to a community college in Colorado for spring semester. I would like to go to a junior or public college but my high school performance was not good and I do not have enough time to take an ACT. I would be interested in a football program if it was possible my high-school team won state my junior year. Any scholarship offers would have been detoured by bad grades. I am currently a resident of minnesota, I am aware I would face out of state tuition but I am interested in becoming a resident of Colorado. I have been employed since I graduated with hopes of starting my own business but recent events have made me decide I need to go to back to school. My questions being would I be able to get enough financial help to attend community college out of state? Rent an apartment, food, ect? I would seek employment once there but I would need something to help me get started. My financial situation right now is grim and so is my parents (currently in foreclosure.) Is it financially possible?? I would like to just do one semester community then transfer to a good university. I would like to major in mechanical engineering. Any school suggestions would be appreciated, preferably in co spring/outside of denver area. As I know I need to be applying asap. Help with the financial question would help me a lot? I really want to move to colorado, but if not possible I will apply to rctc in rochester, mn. :(. I'm sure I missed something as I feel myself rambling. Long work days and late nights trying to figure this out. Can e-mail me directly @ tost_16@hotmail.com. thank you all in advance.

I would suggest calling Pikes Peak Community College and they will tell you everything you need to know about applying and financial aid. Good luck!
