Veteran to Student

Hi! I’m currently enlisted in the Navy, and I’ll be separating soon. I was wondering if my status as a Veteran would increase my chances of being accepted to the University of Miami. It’s been my dream to attend this school since forever, but my GPA and SAT scores from high school didn’t support that dream unfortunately. I’ll be able to retake the SAT, but I won’t be able to redo high school, so I’m hoping that this could boost my chances. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know how they weight veteran status for admission, obviously you need to check what their minimum SAT scores are. Also, keep in mind that UM is not a state school and is a lot more expensive than UF, FSU, FIU etc.
