Video Games Thread (Yes, again)

The other one I've created is ages old, I think.

While I don't play as much games as I used to (I'd say I was playing ridiculous amounts in later elementary, middle school, and early HS years - including summer), obviously I'm still a gaming fan - it's ridiculous how much time I've spent single-handedly in video games in my life. From the N64 days to the gameboys, Gamecube and PS2, etc. And of course the PC is...boundless. I still play, but not as much - I'm just flipping through random games once in a while. I got COD from my friend a while ago, so I'm playing that these days. Mostly PC RTS's and FPS's and the like.

So: games you currently play?
And even better: Games you're expecting?

I'm pretty much waiting for SCII. That's my major one - there's obviously more but I don't feel like listing them right now. There has to be other gamers here, even on a moderate level.

I’m currently playing
-uncharted among thieves
-Oblivion (can’t beat a great RPG)
-Fallout 3
-Working on Bioshock 1
(Unfortunately I have to stop for three weeks because of studying for finals)

I can’t wait for Bioshock 2, I LOVE little sisters
And once I turn 16, I’ll be allowed to play Dragon Age orgions.

I’m currently playing:

 • COD Modern Warfare 2
 • Assassin’s Creed II
 • NBA 2K10

Also every three years since I was 8 I get an urge to play pokemon.

Got a wii for Christmas, any good game recomendations?

^ Assasin’s Creed 2 is so boooring

I love Halo and Fifa 10.
Oh, and Little Big Planet. CUTEST GAME EVER.

I used to be in love with Battlefront 2.

^ It was worse than Assassin’s Creed I but it’s not bad…
Fifa 10 also (although the American version is AWFUL the British Version is amazing)

^ How can you tell if it’s the American version or not?

I’m Canadian, so I think I have the American version, but you never know.

Yeah I play pokemon on my computer; I have these random impulses where I play and beat every single version in a massively concentrated two-week period or something like that.

Bioshock 2 is a wait, too. I also play Portal and the older but perennial PC games like CS, SC, and WC once in a while. I’ve played a lot, but there’s not a lot I regularly play anymore.

@ Liverpool

The British Version plays like a simulator whereas the American version plays like an Arcade game. The most obvious difference is that the field is A LOT smaller in the American version (or at least the players seem “too big” for the field).

Kingdom Hearts

need to finish professor layton 2 and new super mario bros. wii. And I really want to play Legend of Zelda: Spirit Track and can’t wait for Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

I think I have the American version then.
Lol. I think I’m going to convince my brother to get the British version haha.

^ You may get addicted… I did…

lol I’ve been playing Ragnarok Online on and off for six years…(official server)

wastes alot of time and money, but it helps me relax :)

FIFA 08 was so crappy

I play platinum BLOODY version which is a incredibly harder version of pokemon platinum. It’s also infinitely more awesome.

NHL 2010 is in my repertoire and so is the final fantasies. But I just finished V and VII and i’m waiting for XIII.

^ where did you get BLOODY version?

Downloaded untrimmed version of Pokemon Platinum (torrented actually) and then I applied a patch and voila!

do they have untrimmed for the old versions (I’ve only played the ones I played when I was young)

The old versions you can find hacks of EVERYWHERE. You just need to know where to look. They usually include enhanced game experiences such as higher levels and such.
