Villanova EA Class of 2022

My D also applied for the Honors programs. She was admitted ED. Are you still receiving letters of acceptance? Where you also notified by email or on the admission page? Thank you

@lindsgal. Did you apply for Presidential too?

Congrats! Btw, when did you find out? Also, was it email or snail mail? TIA.

anyone have any idea when the St Augustine scholarships will be decided?

@auntlu Yes and I just found out I’m a finalist

@lindsgal Congratulations

Just seeing you replied - sorry for delay!
Tough managing this college search
Yes, D did check - she was unfortunately deferred
Was a little surprised/ disappointed
The waiting is so stressful

My D has applied for the Augustine scholarship/. She is anxiously waiting to hear something. Does anyone know what the timeline for this scholarship is? She got merit money elsewhere but Nova is her top choice. Thanks

@auntlu I’m assuming they will only notify winners some time in March since regular decision applicants are also given the opportunity to apply

Ok. That makes sense. Thanks

I cannot believe that my D was admitted in December EA and still has not received her fin aid award. Making people wait until almost april 1st seems like a terrible strategy with EA-you cannot commit w/o the fin aid and other schools are offering money and trying to pull your student to them. bad business practice really.

our financial aid I posted on portal now. Accepted EA in December.

I am trying to decide between Villanova and George Washington University. At Villanova, I got into the Honors program. At GWU, I got into the Women’s Leadership Program. I want to major in Political Science with a minor in psychology, but am open to changing that as I am exposed to new classes. Any advice?

I also have visited GWU but never been to Villanova

Were any science majors admitted to the Honors Program?

@london1234 if you don’t mind the urban setting (which is really nice in DC), I would go with GW if you are interested in Politics. Hands Down.

But you also have to consider the student bodies. Villanova is definitely a more homogeneous crowd, as well as a suburban campus. Villanova is probably a more conservative crowd and I’m thinking GW is more liberal.

The schools are quite different. But they are both great. Congrats to you!

Agree both good schools. I think Pol Sci you would prefer DC? Biz/engineering VU has much higher rated programs.
