Villanova vs. BU ... HELP! Only about 2 days left!!!

Hello all,
I’ve narrowed down my college search to two schools: Villanova and Boston University
Nova’s total Cost of Attendance is about 60K, and I received about 54K (so I would pay about 6K)
BU’s total Cost of Attendance is about 65K, and I received about 53K (so I would pay about 12K)

I’m planning on majoring in Finance, although I’m not entirely sure what I want to do with that. So, which school do you think will give me better opportunities. And also, which school, when it comes time to find a job will provide me with more recruitment and prestige behind my diploma. Essentially, which school is better lol.

Thank you in advance.

Everything i say here will be based on opinion

So Villanova is cheaper and that’s already a positive in that direction if money might be an issue.

From what I can tell both have really good Business schools so I don’t think you can go wrong in either one.

Both have a reputation but…from what I’ve seen. Boston University is much much more well known than Villanova.
I talk to someone about where I plan on going for the fall. and they are like what is this school? where is this school again? I think this depends on where you are from too…but Boston is definitely more well known since it’s of course on the national ranking for usnews while villanova is not in that list.

Which one has more opportunities?? Depends. Perhaps boston university will have more opportuniites for you if you want to work in boston in the future. I’m just a high school senior so what do I know? Villanova is still solid with lots of peeps hiring there…go figure.

Some more information.

There is definitely more school spirit in my opinion at Villanova than Boston University. Mostly b/c there is a definitive campus. Yes you can say that Boston U has a campus but not really. If your into that city living then Boston would be a great choice. I come from NYC and I don’t want to be in a city anymore really…I see NYU and I’m just like where is the campus. the whole city is a campus but not really…

Apples and Oranges. If you want a guaranteed paid internship and a guaranteed job in Finance with a competitive starting salary, go to Nova.

Villanova hands down because not only is it cheaper, it also has better and stronger connections for Finance

Can you explain the kind of connections Nova has over bu?

From what I’ve seen, VSB has an incredible internship percentage along with very high job placement out of college in the finance sector. The alumni network is supposedly very strong, too. Good connections in NYC and Philadelphia, especially. Do not know much about BU

Nova is ranked 11 for the best feeder school for Financial Corporations. Dont think BU breaks top 50

People working in Wallstreet and business know Villanova. If you asked your local store clerk, Chances are, he wouldn’t know.
