I know Verizon and AT&T have the best coverage at Cornell, but there is no way I am going to pay for either of those services. I'm going with either Tracfone or Virgin Mobile (which uses the Sprint PCS Network). I've read through the past threads on cell phones, but there isn't much agreement on how well Sprint works on campus. Could I please hear some more opinions/experiences regarding reception for Sprint? BTW, I'll be living in Jameson for my freshman year. Thanks.

I have it right now and I'm assuming you don't talk much? More of an emergency/talk little as possible sort of ordeal? You can find reception here, but it's not the greatest. I've yet gone to a place where I don't have reception, but I might have 1 or 2 bars though.

ATT has a pay as you go monthly plan for about 30 bucks a month. No contracts. That's on my list of things I'll probably get. Sorry. It's called pick your plan. Get Started - | Wireless from AT&T, formerly Cingular

But I would listen to everyone and give Verizon a shot for peace and mind.
