So does anyone know if the talk of receiving decisions the first week of March is true? The website says May 1…
@bwoods96 I believe it is, because every year they have released decisions the first week of March. Also, people with honors applications have to hear back before April 5th. Those are all just my thoughts though, I have not talked to admissions or anyone.
@bwoods96 They’re definitely releasing some decisions first week of march
@bwoods96 I called them yesterday and they said that they have begun slowly releasing decisions and they are going to continue between now and May 1…so I guess we just gotta hold on
@gmhokie45 yeah they still haven’t filed it yet…they keep saying that if they need anythign else from me (AKA if they don’t find it/it gets lost) then they’ll let me know and to not worry about it
@hokiehopeful2 I don’t think so. they have just been telling me that it’s okay and not to worry because they probably have it and are backed up in the office
@frogsinribbons5 Did they say anything about decisions next week? Or when the next round will be released?
@transfervt4evr Do you know where we are supposed to send IB/AP scores? Is it to admissions?
You are suppose to go on your collegeboard account and send your AP scores electronically. You send it to Virginia Tech’s collegeboard school code 5859.
@frogsinribbons5 So it’s like rolling admission at this point or what?
@gmhokie45 @hokiehopeful2 honestly I’m not sure. They were reluctant to tell me anything else.
When I applied last year (to be a freshman) they let everyone know who applied by the regular decision deadline on a single date, I can’t imagine it will be different for transfer but I’m not sure.
I know they are doing things a little differently this year- no hokie bird - but I cannot see them not continuing sending out acceptances in waves. I’m surprised they were so vague when you called, @frogsinribbons5 . Has anyone else talked to admissions?
They’re definitely releasing one wave early March, that’s all I know. Admissions officer told me that.
@gmhokie45 Thank you for telling us that! Hopefully it will be earlier in the week opposed to next Friday.
@hokiehopeful yeah no kidding!! Knowing them though it won’t be until next Friday.
Usually another sign that you will get accepted in that wave is an email from Virginia Tech regarding Financial Aid.
@transfervt4evr so if you applied for aid you’ll probably get an email? When would the email even come?
@gmhokie45 According to the previous posts in this forum, the Priority Reviews applicants that got accepted all received a Financial Aid email from Virginia Tech about 1-2 days before they were notified. So be sure to complete your FAFSA.
Will that be true also for people who didn’t apply for financial aid?
