Hey CC, I’m just beginning my senior year of high school and am considering Brown as a possible choice for my ED application. I already visited last October and would like to visit again to inform my decision as much as possible. I’ve looked on the Brown Admissions website and there doesn’t seem to be any other options for visits other than your standard info session/campus tour. Does anyone know of any other possibilities for visits in the near future?
My recommendation, Send an e-mail to admissions office and ask.
Seconding the advice to email the admissions office. They do have some invitational programs on some weekends, so be sure to include some information about yourself, such as if there is something you are particularly interested in, like CS or theater etc.
Agree with the advice above, but other ideas to inform your decision: if you are planning to visit again, consider doing a tour of Providence to get a better feel for the city. There is much more to the town than College Hill. Our family took a trolly tour during revisit weekend that really opened our eyes to what a great place Providence is. To get a feel for the campus vibe and culture, subscribe to the Brown Daily Herald and take a peek at the Brown website events page. If you’ve already done the traditional admissions office visit and feel like you need to collect more info to convince you on ED, it’s now up to you to make that happen. Read up and ask questions. Wishing you the best of luck!
