Visiting Colleges and Universities

Is there any advice of what I should do and bring if i am going to visit a college or a university. IS there anything specific that i should do or say in order to make a good impression? And is there any chance that the representative for my area would be at the college? I am going to visit UPenn tommorrow. Any comments would be really appreciated!

EDIT: Also should i do any research on any specific professors who teach at UPEnn? And if i do that research, should i talk to those professors if i can find them?

cam anyone answer my question?

Your post makes me laugh. It's so cute and naive and clueless.

When you visit a college, the most important person you'll meet is the student working behind the desk who will probably put your application in a folder at some point.

Talk to as many students as possible to find out if the school is for you. Try to get a general feel for the atmosphere on campus (tough to do in summer). Sit in on a class if possible.

Don't worry about impressing anyone. Relax & have fun.

I recommend everyone to visit UPEnn, it was amazing!

What did you find amazing?

um i would have to say the architecture. It seems like a very nice environment to go to college.

lol do you mean the quad architecture? I remember how impressed I was by it and then I ended up not living there...

haha im sure they didnt show you hill on the tour

can u describe this "hill" that you are referring to? It sounds familiar and i might have passed it on my tour.

90% freshman, next to engineering buildings, very small rooms, lots of common space... ring a bell?

are u referring to the place where the dorms are, or how Penn calls them, "houses?" There is a structure that u climb steps to reach, and you about 15 feet off the ground. Most likely a bridge or something like that, not sure tho.

if you google it or go to the housing website you can find pictures of the exterior/interior of hill
