Hi

Denison is on S's list of potential colleges. Please post a report upon your return!

Have fun!

FresnoMom

I'd like to read the report too! Even though I've taken it off my final list, I have quite a few friends who have asked me some questions and as I've only heard, not actually visited, I'm quite interested.

I went to Denison with D#2 last spring--with low expectations and came away reasonably impressed. The campus is very pretty, for starters, and there's evidence of substantial investment in facilities. Students were friendly, if a bit homogeneous, and seemed happy and engaged. For an LAC in the midwest, Denison seem to be more pre-professional than other schools we've visited. For D#2, this is a plus.

Have a freshman there. Just returned from Parent's Weekend. Child loves college experience. Is thrilled with their choice . Offers challenging courses and plenty of activities. We love the area. Has made many friends whom we met. It was a nice feeling seeing such a positive experience for our child. We love Denison!

You will hear from your adcom constantly through the process. They are great. The interview was very important to the process. They knew much about my child by the interview. I felt the whole process at Denison was one of the more personable experiences in the college search we had. This college does care about it's applicants.

Be sure to ask all the questions you need. They are very helpful with answers.
Have fun and I hope it's not raining!

sideways:
Wasn't parent weekend fun??? The campus was so pretty, the kids so nice. We just had a great time and loved our son's friends. Took son and two of his friends to Olive Garden in Newark. On Saturday we went to Easton Center - have you been there? It was amazing. Also had an incredible French dinner in Columbus. Now I'm home and miss him again, but I know he is completely happy and comfortable so that's good.

Weenie...
Glad your visit was good.
We also had a great time. I love that campus. We went to Easton and had dinner and a movie Friday night. It was so much fun (love that place). I want one for my own!!!
The visit was just what I needed. It confirmed the positives I have been hearing about in the phone calls. The kids are all great. There is so much for them to do. It was nice to see it all for myself. I feel so calm knowing that my son's experiences are good ones. He should be very proud of the decision he made in going to Denison. It was a perfect choice for him.
I could have done with a little less rain though.
They have a great market on Saturdays (fresh fruits). The bakery at Elm was real treat! It's a great town.
Now we only have till Thanksgiving! I think I can make it!

i had an amazing time today!
denison is a wonderful place:) i am so happy i am applying.

Great! Could you post your impressions from the school? I am interested what your thoughts on the various campuses are, especially if happen to visit any of the other similar Ohio schools, like Kenyon, Wooster and Ohio Wesleyan.
