Do high tier colleges care about what vocation an applicant takes in high school and what his/her grades are? The reason I am asking is because I take Architecture/CAD and my grades are not very up to par. My other grades are excellent however (4 of my 5 core courses are A’s and I’m taking 4 honors classes; my only B’s are in English (H) and Drivers Ed). My GPA would be very high if my vocation was excluded from my GPA.
The answer is the exact same as when you asked the question last year - some colleges look at all grades, others just look at those in core subjects.
That said, most successful applicants to “high end” colleges have high grades in all courses. And the impact also depends upon your definition of “not up to par”
