Volunteer hours

How do I get started volunteering?

You sign up at your local library/Red Cross station/hospital/school as a volunteer with some sort of means of logging down your hours.

Ask your GC for some sort of "official" paper or log, if your school has one.

talk to some of the club presidents/officials at your school such as Key Club or Red Cross Club and see what kind of projects their clubs are involved in and see if you want to sign up and help out. Otherwise, you can organize your own thing by going to a local soup kitchen or even volunteering at a local hospital.

If you're religious, churches usually always need people for like bake sales and other little community events like that. Or call up a retirement home, they usually always need people too, just to push seniors around in their wheelchairs or play games. [I don't advise the retirement home route for prolonged periods of time, though: my school requires 25 hours of service a year, and junior year I spent 16 of them in a home. Oh my god.]

Google some soup kitchens in your area!
