what are some good places to volunteer over the summer ?
im planning on volunteering @ the library and possibly @ the fire station. What are some places i can volunteer at where colleges would look @ it positively.
As you noted, library and fire station are good choices. You can also consider:
Animal shelter
Homeless shelter / soup kitchen
Hospital
Playground program for little kids
Senior home
Park (clean-up duty?)
Park districts, local rotary club
Any place really. I don’t think there is a wrong answer to this unless you are volunteering as tribute. Bonus points to you if it connects to your other interests and tells a story about you. Ex: you’re interested in becoming a doctor, volunteer at a place that helps patients or does research
