Hi! I am going to be a freshman in high school this year. I have been learning more about drug and substance abuse. How can I contribute to helping others and raise awareness about drug abuse? I really want to help out in some way (maybe start a campaign or make ads?) but I’m not sure how to go about it.

I would start by finding out what your school and/or community may already offer. Try looking up city name substance abuse resources. I just did my city and found several. Even as a teenager a community group may welcome your help or give you information. You may have to wait until school starts but it is common to have some sort of club info at the start of the school year.
Talk to your Guidance Counselor…there may already be a program at your school. Our HS had “Bottlecappers” and “Heroes and Cool Kids” programs.
