<p>I was looking for organizations that have high school students volunteer outside U.S. over the summer. But, most of them cost around $4,000. I was thinking that since we are volunteering and not vacationing, we can have food and a place to stay for free. Four grand is just too much for me to pay. I was hoping that I can just pay for the flight tickets. Is there any organization that have students volunteer with food and housing for free?</p>

u go down to a latin or central american country and do volunteer work there</p>
<p>One of my friend volunteered at an aids hosptial in ShenZhen China in return for housing and food. </p>
<p>Also, I have known a few others who privately contacted missionaries in Africa through their local churches.</p>
<p>Anything maybe in Brazil, especially Rio de Janierio (sp?).</p>
<p>Something that is cheap, but it will volunteer work, so I'm hoping for nearly free.</p>
<p>I wish us Americans could go to Cuba, that would be cool.</p>
