When applying for freshmen housing on campus, which residence halls should be considered? I know that they are all similar... which ones are the best?

This has been asked numerous times on this forum. By consensus, the best freshman residence hall is Peddrew-Yates, which is only available to those who are in the Residential Leadership Program. So apply to that.

The best resident hall in regards to location is probably West AJ. Peddrew-Yates is the best combination for housing condition + location.

Keep in mind, you can’t specify which hallway you desire anyway. Meaning, you can’t consider which hallway you want, so finding out “which residence halls should be considered” is practically useless unless you plan on staying on-campus as an upperclassmen.

EngineerHead is mostly right. West AJ, as far as the fresman experience is the best. Pritchard, in previous years, has gotten a bad wrap but it’s actually pretty nice with the new themed housing program and renovations they just put in this previous year. As a freshman you can’t have a preference htough - you can only do that after the fact, aka second year. THe only way you get to ‘decide’ as a freshman though is if you do one of the themed hosing programs, the nicest of which is the RLC. there are several others though, including the one in Pritchard.
