I just checked now and it was posted. Was not there yesterday evening. Hope that helps.

waitlisted:
GPA W: 3.86
GPA UW: 3.76
SAT: 1710

Wow, they are wait-listing lots of qualified people!!! I hope there are still acceptance to come…

dubbledub - I hope you get off the waitlist and are accepted. I like your attitude! Good luck.

haha you and me both! :)

Actually, I didn’t know I was waitlisted until I called them (this was regarding whether they received my SAT/ACT scores).

@Synclair

Was that for this year?

Could you do me a favor and tell me what happened and how you got off the waitlist? The people at the admissions office have been little to no help to me :/

Yes, it is for this year, and I really don’t know how I got off…
I called admissions regarding my SAT/ACT and the lady who answered told me that I was waitlisted before I was accepted.

Did they not have your scores or something?

I logged onto my portal and they asked for my SAT/ACT scores but I already sent them. I called and asked whether I had to send them in again or if it was a mistake, and it turned out to be a mistake.

Ahh, okay then!

:) Thank you for your help!!!

Sigh, wait listed.

of passed AP: 3

I just received the email about 40 minutes ago. :P

Two years ago my son was also waitlisted for aerospace engineering at Cal Poly. He had a 4.0 GPA, a 4.22 WGPA, a 31 ACT, and an 800 on the Math II and a 35 on the Math ACT. He never intended to go to Cal Poly but he at least thought he would be admitted. He stubbornly kept himself on the waitlist and he never got off the waitlist. In the meantime, he was admitted to UCLA (which he declined to attend) and is now happy as a sophomore at University of Colorado majoring in aerospace engineering. (By the way, their aerospace engineering department is top notched).

At the time, we attributed the fact that he got waitlisted to perhaps maybe a lot of students apply to Cal Poly ED, and that Cal Poly admits a lot of those students during the ED period. We thought that maybe by the time the RD students apply, there are very few spots left for the RD students. Just a theory, and I imagine it varies year to year.

I was first waitlisted to Aerospace Engineering.
Since then, I was checking my status once a week.
For a month I was waitlisted and now…

I cant believe, I got in.
They changed my status from waitlisted to accepted.

Congratulations, you have been selected for admission to Cal Poly pending your meeting the following Terms and Conditions. Click on the link for further information.
