W&L Rocks

Just got home after many hours in the air and I can't even say how much I love W&L. The entire experience was just awesome and I loved everything about my trip. The interviews went great, everyone was so nice, and while I definitely almost died from the cold (Texas rocks, but snow ain't our thing), I'm so thrilled I'm going there next year. Didn't get to meet all of you, and Slipstream, funny, I met you this morning, but didn't realize it was you until I was flipping through my facebook on the plane and saw your email address. Anyway, great to meet y'all that I did and I hope to see you next fall.

~*~

It does indeed rock.

It's so weird that we were talking to each other before the interview and even went to the gift shop together yet we never figured out that we were both from CC!

Only bad thing about the whole trip was the flight home (delayed by one and a half hours and they lost my luggage) but otherwise the trip was unbelievably awesome and extraordinarily well put together. It definitely increased my interest in W&L. Now all I have to do is wait to see if I get any moolah!

Bye y'all

Yeah, y'all even had me saying y'all by the end of it.

I too absolutely loved the experience, I miss W&L already. It was so wonderful. All of the honor scholars were so nice and so cool though that I'll probably feel bad if I get a scholarship.

Well, later y'all ;)

have you already decided where you're going?

Yeah, I'm one of four (that was our count at the end) Honor Scholars who applied ED.

It was really great to be able to experience the campus for a few days and to meet most of you! I met everyone that posts here except for Tegan/Elissa :(. Slipstream/Chris, don't forgot to let me know about the iPod thingie, lol.

But yeah, I hope everyone did well on their interviews and such and that the panelists, etc. liked what they saw and heard.

So can anyone set me straight - I know there are 40 full scholarships to hand out but does anyone know how many half and quarter or other ones there are? And when exactly in April do we find out the outcome - for those of us who did RD, is it when our admissions information arrives at the beginning of the month?

The website says by April 1st we should know, but here's hoping it's earlier. I've been wishing all day that I'd "accidentally" missed the bus to Roanoke or something. I'm not sure how many other scholarships they give, but it probably varies from year to year, anyway. LOL, Chris I know, I felt so stupid when I realized it was you I'd been hanging out with. Oh well. Hopefully I'll see you there next year again :-)

That's a great story you two have, Elissa it was great meeting you, I don't think I could ever call you Teganon on this site again though...
