Washington And Lee Class Of '11

Congratulations to everyone who got in! Post if you got in, and have a great rest of the year....

hey! congratulations everyone... that means you, bcherry089 and me, midwest's daughter, seeing as we're the only ones in the group. bmulez got in too... cute, i feel like i know people already.
do you know when we get our email accounts? not to sound like a facebookjunkie, but... i want to add W&L to my networks!
yay! nows the time to celebrate-- but not too much, we wouldn't want our grades to slip now, would we...

Thanks, congrats to you too! Yeah, I was reading all of the posts people were saying on the EDI board, I was surprised not that many people posted (although they don't get a ton of applicants since the school's so small).

I have no idea when we get our e-mail accounts, I'd imagine at least not until we send a deposit, but my guess is in the spring when the RD people find out. Just a guess. But yeah, I'd like to be on the w&l network of facebook too.

Did you notice how formal the acceptance letter was? No congratulations or anything, just "we have decided to offer you admission." That's it, good work.

Congrats to both of you as well. As far as emails, some old threads suggest that in previous years emails weren't given until July. I remeber that people were complaining about the facebook aspect back then too lol. What is everyone planning on majoring in? For me its definately politics and maybe history as well.

Probably Business Administration, but I could see myself doing any major in the Williams School. Except accounting, because I find it to be rather boring.

Class of '11 . . . wow you guys are making me feel old, I remember thinking how far away "class of '09" sounded

Congrats to all of you, and don't wait for that email account, you won't get it until mid-June

hopefully Anthropology, maybe some physics and phrench thrown in there too... sorry, that was lame.

anything not relating to business? i'm a little out of the ordinary, i suppose.

Dima,

If I remember correctly from old posts (I browsed everything relating to last years class one day when I was really bored) I noticed that you play hockey, what exactly is that like and what is the skill level? I currently play for my high school but we're not that good, but I enjoy it and don't really want to give it up in college?

I sent you a PM

My wish for you all is that W&L is as happy an experience as it has been for my son this year. He's home the holidays decked in his W&L attire. When people ask him how he likes Washington and Lee, he answers, "I love it - it's even better than I could ever have imagined." Sweet dreams to all!

Thanks, Esquette for your kind wishes. I hope my daughter is happy there next year! She is one of those kids who does well anywhere. She has been in many different environments and has always been happy so I think she'll thrive at W&L. Enjoy your time with your son over winter break!

I'm in!! W&L is the only college that I loved when I was on campus... I'm so excited!!

so.
should we do introductions? or should we wait like 63 months to get email adresses?
hello, i'm alexandra, i'm a girl.
i'm going to washington and lee!

Congratulations to you all! Like Esquette, our frshman son is loving it. And what logoed items he doesn't have, the rest is wrapped & under the tree I write!

What I wish I had known before last week: the Univ Bookstore has a major sale the last few weeks before break- 15-20 % off of everything and 25% off of Vineyard Vines stuff. The place may have been picked clean beforehand, but if I had known I would have sent son shopping for me.

There is certain to be a "Things I Should Know or Wish I knew" thread later..but for you new parents, buy subscriptions to the Ring-tum-Phi adn to the Trident newspapers. They both will keep you informed and entertained!

Happy Holidays!

I'll continue...

I'm Brian, a boy. I live near Philadelphia, but don't call me a Yankee or anything, because...I'm a Republican.

who has facebook?? we need to start a group!

i do! did you start one? i'll for sure join, just make it easy to find like Washington and Lee Class of '11 or something.
