W*T*F - SAT question of the day?

In addition to Hindus and Buddhists, the religion of Jainism developed within the ancient civilization of India.

A - In addition to Hindus and Buddhists,

B - As with Hinduism and Buddhism,

C - Hinduism, Buddhism, and also

D - Along with Hinduism and Buddhism,

E - Hindus and Buddhists, in addition to

what is the difference between B and D?

I think there is no difference.

I'm pretty sure it's because "along with" is idiomatic.

'as' is comparing both religions to the third one but 'along with' is explaining a relation between all religions

Quite easy... B sounds really bad, you can omit it.

It sounds incorrect. D would have to be it.

it is D.
B sounds horrible.

Ya B just doesn't flow well.
