Yes, I think students will now start to hear back, but, remember, that if you're not accepted, don't take that decision personally. Life goes on.... You could always transfer later on. (Sometimes, it's easier to get in as a transfer, too, especially if you do very well at a VA community college.) Best of luck to everyone!

Daughter was on some IVY waitlist and was told by two they've closed their waitlists. (well one said if she wanted to stay on, they were accepting a select few) She's gotten excited about W&M and if the others call, I think she'd decline.

I did not hear anything from W&M.. I plan to take myself off the waitlist.. Anybody hear anything??

Nothing here in NY for my daughter.

Do not give up yet...I'd call admissions. I know two other people, besides our d that have forfeited their acceptances and deposits at W&M when their first choice school came through. Both came off first choice waitlists and I know that we, personally, have very recently called admissions to let them know that she would not be attending. For the record, we are oos. Best wishes.

I guess we will be hearing soon...

My daughter received a letter yesterday telling her she wasn't accepted, and aked her if she wants to keep waiting. She isn't going to.

Ditto for my D. She's in state, ranked 3 out of 240, 4.25 GPA, and tons of ECs. Go figure. She can't wait to go to UVa.

If you're in-state and in the VA Commonwealth Governor's School, you stood a good chance this year of being accepted, IMO.

I received my letter in Monday's mail... They provided the option to stay on the waitlist. I may stay on. I do not plan to attend this year because it is so late. However, it may help me if I plan to transfer in the next year or two. Does anyone know when they send their final rejection letters??
