So how many of you are on the wait list for Fall 2011?
What are our chances?
Is there a point in appealing?
Post your stats please!

I got waitlisted too.

SAT: 1980
12/94 students
Asian. Female. From Guam.

Waitlisted

SAT: 1700
9 AP Classes
3.96 GPA
Involve in 8 clubs
More than 145 hr/yr of community service

Too bad my senior year was a complete down fall…destroyed everything. Honor Rolls all my life and senior year (had some family issues) grades dropped down to C’s and D’s. And yes, I’m an Asian too…from New England.

I was waitlisted as well. However, there seems to be little hope because UC Berkeley admitted 0 students off the waitlist last year. :(

Btw, does anyone know if we can send additional info like senior year transcript, new leadership positions?

@classical

Where did you get that stat from?

Minhas: it’s from the nytimes 2010 admissions tally

here’s the link - http://thechoice.blogs.nytimes.com/2010-admissions-tally/

I guess spring admission is better than fall waitlist then?

With only 200 offered the waitlist, and about 100 accepting spots, it seems more realistic to receive admission than many other schools with thousands on the waitlist. So what is the chance this year that they will go to the waitlist??? any guesses???

Well, I think that Berkeley would go to their spring admits and start bumping them up to fall instead of going to the waitlist. THEN, after the spring admits are “used up,” (which isn’t likely to happen) they go to the waitlist.
