wait list question

Hi,

Does anyone have any idea if and when they will let us know our status? Also, does anyone know if they have let students off the wait list in the past?

How hard is Sarah Lawrence to get into and what can I do at this point? I have sent grades, additional papers, even traveled from Montana to New York to vist. What else can I do?

Thanks

I called a few days ago and was told that students on the waiting list will be offered admission, if at all, starting next week. The woman I spoke to also told me that those who are not offered admission will be notified as well, all beginning (not sure exactly from when til when) next week. She also made a point about this information being in the letter, kind of grouchy :p/

Thank you! I probably talked to the same lady when I set up an interview, she was very
grouchy.

If they are sending letters it may take a long time to get here. I wonder if it matters to them if you need FA or if they are looking for people that can pay?

Do you have any information on SLC and how they do their wait list? They seem to be such a mystery!

From what I know from other schools, waitlisted students who are accepted tend to not get as much financial aid as those accepted outright (which, from SLC, wasn’t enough for me to say ‘I am okay with shouldering this massive debt when I graduate.’)
So, um, know there is at least one spot open for you to take?! Good news, yes?

Wait… so you were already offered admission off of the waitlist for SLC? My EFC is zero, this doesn’t sound good.

Hi,

It seems we are the only two waiting anxiously for the wait list results? To be
honest, I am too nervous to call them!

I was told during my interview that they would start sending out letters on the 15th
but I haven’t received anything yet. I wish there was more info on the wait list.

I think the last post meant that she was offered admission regular decision but couldn’t
afford to attend. I don’t think she meant the wait list.

Have you heard anything??

I haven’t heard anything since I called. We’ll know soon enough, latest early July. There is no guarantee that they will even go to the wait list this year, and if they do it will be for students that require little to no assistance (since they will have used most of their money for the other freshman). Every time I call they are very discouraging, it doesn’t seem like they are interested in students playing second to regular/early admits.

Hi,

They have been letting people off the list since last Friday. At least one person said it was by email. They told me it would be by letter but I guess not. I haven’t heard anything and they have not responded to my three emails. I guess that means I probably didn’t get in.

What about you, have you heard? I wish they would at least tell us one way or another.

I actually called today and the woman said I would have to call again on Monday. Wow, I haven’t heard anything… guess I didn’t get in either.

Hi,

Have you heard anything yet? They haven’t returned my call or the several emails I sent? I don’t know if I should bug them a lot (to show my interest) or leave it alone?

I am like you and it is between my safety and SLC. I love SLC and want to go vey bad.

What should we do now?
