wait list response form

I’m not surprised i got wait listed, my sat and sat II’s were pretty bad to start off with. Also unfortunately i have a decreasing trend in my report card where i had a lot of A’s freshman year and a lot of B’s senior Year. I thought admissions were coming march 30, didn’t know they were coming today. O well, i don’t really feel upset at all.

Got wait-listed for Stern. Oh well. I’m honestly not as upset as I thought I’d be. Yeah, I wanted to know that I was good enough to get in and I still might be. I was 90% sure I wasn’t going to attend anyway because of financial aid. Either way, my best friend got admitted and I’m so so happy for her!

Waitlisted also. I don’t think I can handle waiting to see if they do accept me. =(

Waitlisted (Stern).
I was looking at the stats of accepted students - mine are slightly better. I expected to get in. Anyway, I have UChicago and a few other colleges so its all good. Best of luck to the rest of you :)

I do have one question; if I applied for BPE at Stern and got waitlisted, does this mean I was waitlisted for BPE or for the Core Business program?

Guys, I was waitlisted last year, but was eventually offered a spot near the end of June. I would place a deposit in another school and then just wait patiently. I didn’t write any letters or send any essays, but when I got an acceptance e-mail they told me I only had eight hours to reply so I suggest you guys check your emails regularly. Best of luck to all!

Thanks, Slytrooper. What school did you get into?

^ It was Gallatin. The email was sent directly by an admissions director.

Waitlisted at CAS
oh well

I like your username! ^ Btw, what intended major did you apply for?

Hahaha thank you :P

I applied for Computer Science

Waitlisted -___- I really thought NYU would appreciate a candidate like me…even if i make the slim chance of getting in off the waitlist, I dunno how ill fill about getting the “seconds” after the ones they truly want decide if they want to accept their offers. I’ve never heard of NYU giving a huge amount in financial aid other than like…loans…so i dunno what their acceptance rate for admits will be…I also got wailisted from UNC Chapel Hill, so I’m just all kinds of depressed right now. :'/

Woah! I applied for Comp Sci, too!

Im strangely not depressed and I think it’s something that all the waitlisted candidates should try and do. If we weren’t qualified for the school they would have straight up rejected us.

Regardless, while I love NYU im moving on with my college decisions and submitting my deposit to another institutiion and if they do accept me later on, ill take it from there.

Sent from my HTC HD2 Gingerbread using CC App

i applied for comp sci, but i havent heard anything yet

LOL!
I got into U-Chicago too… waitlisted to Stern… I think my grades + GPA + EC are sightly better than their stats too… but I think i have two terribad teacher’s recom (I knew they were bad too >< )

Would hate to go to Chicago tho… hate that city ;< Think i’m gana go to Mich for a year then try my luck again at Stern!

If we got waitlisted, does that mean we weren’t good enough for LSP?

@Daplan101

I’ve pondered that question myself and I’m pretty sure its not the case. If you get into LSP, you need to spend two years before you get accepted into your original school of choice while if you’re taken off the waitlist, you enter the school directly.

waitlisted at CAS also… /sigh

Well, I heard good schools like Stern closed their LSP program, so people can no longer get to Stern through LSP…
meaning if you got waitlisted from Stern, you are most likely better than LSP kids…
