I was accepted into Oxford, but I REALLY want to go to Emory. What do you think my chances are of getting off the waitlist? And how can I better my chances o getting off the waitlit?

I could walk onto the track team considering the times their current team members have. I would be in the top 10% of times for my event on the team. Could contacting the coach help me out at all?
My biggest fear is that they will consider second semester senior year grades in choosing who gets off the waitlist. My grades now are absolutely HORRIBLE. I still have a hard course load with 5 APs, but when I say horrendous I mean horrendous.
