Wait listed

I was put on the wait list for Emory and NYU. I was accepted to Fordham and Northeastern with scholarships, and I'm still waiting for Michigan, although I most likely got rejected because I applied late. I'm just wondering what else can I do to help my status on the wait list. I've sent in a letter to both Emory and NYU expressing my interest in each school. I was also thinking of asking one of my teachers and my pastor to send in a recommendation for me. I'd rather not send in updated grades. I've been getting A's and B's, but I recently got my first C ever on this marking period. What else can I do to show these schools that I'm willing to go?

I posted this in the Emory forum as well.

A letter of interest is all you need. There’s nothing more you can do.

Would sending a recommendation from my Stats AP teacher be too much?

I asked this same question over at the NYU forum. I was hoping to get my counselor to send in an additional rec letter but I’d heard they just wanted the letter of interest. The board administrator’s exact reply to my question was “Just the letter of interest is fine.”

…So yeah, just the letter. They apparently don’t want anything else.

A recommendation from your pastor? Seriously? Don’t waste your time.
