So the letter is going to be a waitlist? ■■■

I got a letter today waitlisting me also.

Yeah. Like I said, almost everyone who was postponed will be waitlisted. And almost everyone who’s waitlisted will be denied. It seems like they like to annoy everyone to the point where they don’t even care when they’re finally rejected.

I think they finally sent me a letter rejecting me in…either June or July. Sorry guys. :|

Postponed in December, accepted to the college of design mid-March.

Waitlist for IT. Chances of getting in off waitlist? Probably slim to none with >33,000 applicants.
Eh, screw it.

I must be pretty lucky then. I got postponed and then accepted. No waitlist. Out of State too. I applied undeclared with a 27 on my ACT and 3.6 GPA. I would love to go here but I need to consider costs for all schools I got accepted to. Only aid I got was in loans and work study.

For all of you that have been postponed…then waitlisted. I know of two people at my school that have heard within the last week that have been taken off of the waitlist, and offered admission. So all hope isn’t gone for those who were waitlisted.

^ What were their majors/colleges that they were accepted to?

I actually found out of another person that got in after being waitlisted.
Two of them I believe were undecided, in LA. The other person wants to be a teacher, so the education school- not sure which one that is.

I was accepted a while ago, and I’m still deciding which school I’m going to pick, but I received an email late last week asking me to confirm my admission there. The email gave me three links - One saying I was gong to attend, other not attend, and the third was “still deciding.” I selected “still deciding” My guess is that they sent this out to all the people that haven’t sent anything in yet- and took all the “not attending” spots, and opened them up for the waitlisted people. This is actually a very smart idea for their school. I know UW-Madison doesn’t have an online confirm enrollment button or anything, and everything has to be sent through the mail - which takes forever. This was pretty useful for the U of M, and especially my friends, because they were going to send a deposit elsewhere… but heard back from the U just in time to become Gophers.

EDIT: I also know some kid at my school who has a 2.8 GPA. No honors classes. All slacker classes. and got a 24 on the ACT. and was accepted into LA without being postponed. So anything is possible I guess…

I see. There’s spaces for CLA and CEHD but not IT.
Dang it.

You never know. There is hope, Xcell! Hahh
