Waiting decision after being postponed

What showed up today. Your application has been carefully reconsidered. A letter was mailed March 26th. Hmm doesn't look good to me.

i got the same exact message, and so did my friend... i want to know if anyone's today was actually "accepted"....ahhh i'm worried, why wouldn't they just say "congrats you're accepted" if thats the case???

Same here. :/
"Your application has been carefully reconsidered. A letter was mailed on March 26, 2009."

It's not even March 26th? Lol. xD

ahh i have the same thing! i'm so nervous....

Let's just hope they want us to get it in the mail first and then they post Congrats... a few days later.

I hate to be the barer of bad news but....

I was postponed back in late October. and I checked my status last week online and it says "Congratulations! You have been admitted to the college of ...... a letter was mailed March 20, 2009." I received my acceptance letter in the mail today (which was already open and very crumpled up)

Goodluck to you all.

Oh well. I'll be expecting a rejection letter then. Last time they said they were mailing a decision, it was a postponement. Now, most likely a rejection. -_-

When I applied for a freshman last year I was postponed, and then waitlisted. I'm going to guess that's what will happen for most of you. Almost everyone I know who was postponed was then waitlisted. :</p>

Gahhh. I got the same message too (Your application has been carefully reconsidered. A letter was mailed on March 26, 2009.). Is it pretty much certain that I got denied? I applied to CBS, got denied and then was automatically postponed to the CLA.

Can you guys give me the URL so that i can check mine?

You can check it out on this site: Status Check

Did anyone mail in extra material after being postponed.

It stills says it will be mailed within 10 weeks. No update for me :(

Yeah, my friend got the same message too....and sadly I think that means he's rejected. Urgh, that sucks so much I really hoped he could there.......stupid waitlist

I sent in my grades after first semester. My status was updated a few weeks later saying something along the lines of: "we have received new materials, you will hear a response by April 1st, 2009" then a few weeks later to "Congrats.."
The college I was postponed to in October.. I didn't get into. So I'm fairly happy they let applicants have two choices.

Although, I've heard a few weird stories this year about their admissions. I know people with 30+ ACT scores and high 3.8-4.0UW GPAs that were postponed... but I also know people that have lower than a 3.0 GPA and mid-low 20's ACT that were offered admission. So anything could happen.. I'm guessing which college you applied to is major factor.

Anyone get their letters yet?

I haven’t yet…thought I would have gotten it today (i’m in milwaukee), but it didn’t come in the mail. I’ll probably get the bad news on monday…

Still haven’t gotten mine yet. ;/

Waitlist - I guess it is still not over

My letter in the mail read: wait listed. I was initially postponed back in January. It was kind of a blow to my face, seeing as I would have turned down UW-Madison to go there. But hey, Madison is just as great too. Good luck to everyone else!
