Waiting for the Letter

No emails unless you are an international student. UW is very old-school about sending letters.

Hmm, each member has got their own opinion about the email-based result. Who do I have to agree with :expressionless: ?

The admissions board.

And may I know what their opinion about this is?

You may have to email them :wink:

I have. No need to worry about that :smile:

Gold envelope arrived in the mail today. We are in Seattle. No change in the Unofficial Transcript page.

Good luck!

Got my golden envelope this morning! Good luck everyone! My stats are:
Seattle Resident
ACT: 30
GPA: 3.81 unweighted

of AP classes: 3

of Honors classes: about 12

I take classes at Seattle Central College as well though the running start program
I plan to be a mechanical engineer and do a lot of extracurriculars involving that

@AverageJoe206‌ Does the letter also tell you what major you’re put in?

Not in the letter - possibly in the packet I will receive later. UW rarely admits directly to a major, and if they do I believe that they do it later in the process.

@AverageJoe206‌ Gotcha, thanks!

What would the ETA be for an OOS California resident?

Does anyone know when will the international students recieve their decision email?

Hey guys!
Instead of the unoffical transcript option I clicked on “First Years Programs” which is right above that. It says
“Congratulations on your acceptance to University Of Washington! Check out the different options for Advising and Orientation” This message cannot be generic right? It does mean an acceptance. But I wanna be sure. So is this message generic or does it mean acceptance?

@JANSAT2400‌ looks generic to me.

It does the same for me also. Try going to that url on a computer where you haven’t logged in from.

Yeah it is generic. confirmed it on other threads

@JANSAT2400‌ I’m just as disappointed as you are, I’m sure. I was pretty excited to see that I had been accepted, but now that I know it is generic I’m just as worried as I have been for the past few months- maybe even more nervous as time goes on. Good luck to you as well.

@uwhusky1997 yeah :frowning: same 2 you :slight_smile:

No letter of any kind yet. grumbles

I got my letter today. I’m on the eastside. However, my friend who lives less than a mile from me didn’t get his letter yet
