So i got a waiting list into UCR & UCI and was wondering, if i were to appeal does that help at all on my admission because it shows that i care and want to go to their school. also if i were to get rejected, do i lose my waiting list spot? or do i still have it and the rejection of the appeal doesnt affect me as much?
please help thanks :D

Being waitlisted means that your application is still considered for admission after the acceptees make their enrollment decisions so appealing is the wrong/unnecessary way to go about this and would send the wrong vibe to admission officers. If you want to show them that you’re still very interested why don’t you write another essay, send in an additional recommendation or just update them about any recent accomplishments - something that gives them another reason to admit you. Good luck to you!
