Waiting List

I called back this morning, and yeah, I got off of it. He mentioned that they sat down on Friday to review the applications--didn't say anything about numbers. Also said I'd get an official letter Monday and that I should have my deposit in within five days.

Good luck to everyone else!

Where are you from sphairistic? I'm concerned because I didn't get a call, but perhaps this is a regional thing.

MA, though the admissions director that called wasn't the one in charge of my area. And yeah, idk if they've made all the phone calls or not yet--he just mentioned that they reviewed all the applications on Friday, and the call came in around 4/5-ish on Friday.

has anyone emailed admissions with an updated resum

They just called me this morning to tell me I got off the waitlist- I'm so excited!

I sent in a letter / some updates last Monday, but they didn't send me any acknowledgement of receiving it or anything. If you sent it, it's probably safe to say that they got it, though.

thanks spairistic. i'm from ma too. this is probably not a good thing.

Hey, guys, did you get a letter or an email that you got off the waitlist? I sent a lot of update on Friday (is it too late?), they said they would add it to my file.

I am from Ukraine, and apparently they are not going to call me. Will I get anything else in case I am admitted?

Have they already made all decisions concerning waitlist?

How do you know that they wouldn't be calling you?

I am sure they are not going to call to Kyiv (the capital of Ukraine) - first the time difference (8 hours), it is going to be hella expensive for them, and my relatives do not speak English.

Are they still making the decisions, or they have made them already and notified all admits? I did not hear anything from them, thus I am stressing out.

Should I write them an email, perhaps?

I am pretty sure they won't consider costs while calling you :)

I don't think they have made all decisions. Last year they keep phoning until mid June. Maybe Int'l decisions would be made after domestic (wild guess).

There's no need to be stressed so early. Maybe write a email to them and ask when Int'ls decisions would be made if you are too stressed.

Oh, I see. Thank you! You gave some hope. I guess I will write them.

hey ksarfeks could you let us know what did they say about intl decisions?
also, are you on other waitlists?

Keep in mind that of the people they did call this weekend, not everyone will necessarily go, so that'll mean more spots that they need to fill--plus, to the best of my knowledge, most of the Ivies haven't started calling people yet, so that may draw people away from Williams as well.

Hey, guys, as soon as I get their answer I will post it here.

I am on waitlist at Cornell, but I have no hope for it, since I need 99,9% financial aid and I bet they won't give it to me, so I pray for Williams - I was not accepted anywhere else.

Thank you, sphairistic, your words make me feel better.

Same here Ksarfeks. I am also in not-accepted-anywhere club. I am waitlisted at Amherst, but it's full till the brim.

I Hope you get in.

is there any hope for me if i didn't send them an update?
...i'm kinda regretting not doing that... :/

I'd send an update ASAP. It isn't too late. I sent an update in April but the assistant dean never replied. I sent a second update to the Williams admission email on Friday.

Do it right away. It can't hurt and you never know.
Good luck. Waiting must be agony.

Hm, I sent them an email with questions about waitlist on Sunday and re-sent it yesterday, but no reply or confirmation of receiving it. Hm.
