So, has anyone received any news about the wait list (How many people they maybe accepting, unofficial transcripts loading etc.)? Still have not heard too much talk about the wait list as of late and was just wondering if anyone else has heard anything.

still waiting with my fingers crossed

still waiting :)

Im still waiting as well

My friend said her cousin got her acceptance letter off the waitlist one week before school started. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen to any of us!

My unofficial transcript just loaded today! Looks like I’m going to UDub :)

My unofficial transcript loaded today as well :). Hoping the best for the rest of the waitlisters still in limbo.

My D got in.
You can login MyUW and click UW Seattle Campus Applications.

You’ll read the following…

Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2012. A complete packet of information about admission and enrollment is mailed approximately 5 - 10 days from the date your admission status was updated in our data base. Please allow sufficient time for the mail to reach you, especially if you live out of state or out of the country.

Oh, this is for the waitlist peeps…I apologize, not my case. So far, I’m neither accepted, denied, or waitlisted - “in the dark” category. :)

@justinliu- Currently when I look on my UW Seattle Campus Application the message hasn’t changed to what you posted even though my unofficial transcipt has loaded. Should I be worried?

No. 10char

Edit: Oh look, that was only 9 char…

In My D’s case, unofficial transcript loaded first and then status changed. So just be easy, your status will change later.

My unofficial transcript is still only showing UW Bothell, but I got in today! Date on letter says May 16th but it arrived today. So stoked.

This suspense is killing me.

I don’t know what’s the deal with summer transfers; seems like there is noone but me. So they’ll either accept me since there is no competition, or reject me as the only weirdo summer applicant :)

Has anyone heard an official update from UW? I am wondering if they are now also dismissing people from the waitlist? My senior hasn’t heard yes, no, or wait longer. Just wondering what’s up It’s hard to live in limbo!

I believe they sent out their first wave of acceptances a couple days ago, but they gave everyone a window from May 15th to August 1st. So hang in there, it COULD be a while (but it probably won’t be, I have a feeling they’ll be done by June).

Well congrats on your acceptance. My daughter’s appeal was rejected too so it’s encouraging to see you got in regardless. We’re all UW alumni and her sister is there now. Hoping to continue the legacy
Oh…and how long do they give those accepted from the wait list to reply? Thanks!!

They sent out my letter on May 16th, they sent out my official packet thing on May 17th, and gave me until May 29th to reply with a decision.

Good luck to your daughter! I think sending in an appeal really helps a lot, regardless of their decision on it. It shows initiative on her part, because a lot of people don’t bother with an appeal or don’t even know it exists.

metalninja, did they just send you a letter in a plain white envelope first or did you get the BIG envelope?

I was planning on writing an appeal too, but I didn’t have anything to add to my cause :|
