ok guys I just called BC today… and as moll573 said, BC already took some students out from last week. so depends on how those ppl respond, the next wave will be decided.
cross finger… !

yes i agree, keeping my fingers crossed and wishing everyone good luck :)

hey guys… tmr is friday. do y’all think we’ll hear some news or they’ll still wait for the students to decide?
It’s really stressful. I’m about to just withdraw… and give it up. I have done possibly everything I could and I am still on waitlist. All of my friends are just so happy and excited for gradaution. They all know where to go and spend next four yrs. But, I, stuck on CC… and waiting and waiting… sigh
sorry for randome personal stuff. It’s been too harsh for me.

meme123, I think a lot of us are feeling the same way right now.

College is college, no matter where you go. I am certain, that regardless of the outcome of your waitlist decision, that you will have a happy and fruitful four years to come.

Although I am the same way…we have to remember ( and my mom reminds me everyday) we tend to land where we are supposed to be. I would love to go to BC as I have an older sister there, but if it isn’t meant to be then I am sure I will be happy at my next choice (PC). But this waitlist IS torture…even the 1% chance looms in the back of your head and makes it hard to move on! I am giving myself til graduation date (June 5) and if I haven’t heard then I will move on. Good luck to all and remember we can make our experience what we want where ever we end up!! On the plus side I am officially done with HS tomorrow!!
WOO HOO!

hey guys there’s hope for all. i got in off the waitlist yesterday. so maybe your mail is just slow! good luck to everyone!!!

If you haven’t already, make sure you send your BC rep a “Why BC” letter/essay. Also, update honors/awards and grades, even if third quarter. Anything to demonstrate your continued interest. And, IFF true, let him/her know that you WILL matriculate if offered a spot.

tbellz
did you receive the mail? they didn’t contact you by email or call? does your agora have 6tabs?? omg… I didn’t get to hear anything yesterday !!

Congratulations Tbellz!!! Did you get into arts and science or another college??

in agora i have 4 boxes with links to enrollment forms, housing questionnaires etc. I got into the arts and sciences! and it came in the mail, an oldfashioned package. FYI, there’s and inset that talks about how they have an extremely large freshman class so rooms originally made for 2 ppl may get 3 ppl this year so they may have overenrolled too. stupid colleges! good luck to everyone - remember you’ll end up somewhere perfect for you!

Why would BC even take students off of the waiting list if they overenrolled?

guys my counselor called BC, and they said they are done with waitlist…

Well that sucks. Did she call on Friday?

dunno. they must be taking in more than they usually do and there’s not enough housing so their smushing three ppl in a two person room.

Forced triples are SOP in some/many? colleges. (It has little to do with yield/over enrollment.)

i haven’t heard anything either.

me too. /: I’m from CA and, as my name implies, I put my deposit down for UCLA.

Eh, don’t worry. UCLA is a good school. You should be glad you got in. (I know some kids at my MA high school who tried and didn’t get in.)

I haven’t heard anything at all, anyone else???
