Waitlist and Admission Based Off of Major

Hi Vanderbilt Applicants :)

To all of you who are accepted and reading this, congrats! To all of you who got waitlisted, welcome to the club. And to all of you who weren't accepted, I'm sure you'll have an amazing time at whatever college you choose :)

So my question is this: I did a search on the Vanderbilt Admissions Blog, and read that while the College of Arts and Science admits without regard to the intended major, that is not the case for the other schools. Does anyone know what the least popular majors for the other schools are? I applied to Peabody, and honestly loved all of the education majors, but hope that I didn't pick something that would decrease my chance of getting in.

Any insight is appreciated!

I don’t think that with 28,300 applications…that you should worry that your preference for Peabody hurt you at all. Although someone might know more and post something here.
When our 25 year old applied to Vandy and was grateful to be accepted…there were only 11 thousand applicants. Things have just rapidly totally changed re admission odds.
If you really liked Vandy, keep in mind that the Peabody grad programs are ranked number one in the nation and come on back.
