I got waitlisted ;/ I SIR to UC Mercedes but if i spend 100 for deposit and 300 for dorms, and I get into UCR what will happen to that money If choose UCR?
Oh and also, when will I get a notice if I got accepted?
Hello! If you choose UCR, the $100 deposit will NOT get refunded, but it’s possible to get back the $300. Not quite sure if/when the waitlist has been accepted yet.
As stated by @maethestudent: You will lose your enrollment deposit for UCM but you should be able to get back your housing deposit. I would double check with housing.
When my son SIR at UCR in 2014, I lost part of the housing deposit.
