Waitlist chances?

Cumulative GPA through Junior Year: 3.6 Unweighted 3.7 Weighted
SAT: 1730 560W/600M/570CR
First Semester Senior Year: 3.7 Unweighted 4.17 Weighted
AP Calculus AB, AP Government, AP Literature, Engineering Design, Home Networking, Business Law

Considering the previous year's waitlist statistics, what are my chances?

to be honest, i don’t think you will get in off the waitlist. sorry.

to be honest I think UDUBHUSKIES is wrong. Your grades are close to mine but my SAT score is a little higher than yours and I’m 99% sure Ill get in

Let’s try to keep a sophisticated atmosphere here…anyways, let me elaborate on what UDUBHUSKIES was trying to say; most people do not get off the wait list and is quite rare (but not impossible) that you do. Your improved stats will help you out in getting off the wait list, you can also call them for the specific stats of how many people got off the wait list. Are you Out of State? Your stats seem to be around the UW average for in-state, but I believe they are a bit more competitive for OOS. Keep your options open if you don’t get in, but hopefully it won’t have to come to that. Good Luck!

I’m getting back to this a little late but…

Thank you to everyone for the input. And no need for any anger towards UDUBHUSKIES, the honesty was appreciated regardless of how he put it. And for Raamzic, I’m not too sure of my residency status. Apparently I was not counted as a resident prior to the admissions decision release, probably due to the fact I haven’t been in Washington since I was young (military brat). But I submitted a residency questionnaire quite awhile ago, so hopefully that took effect. But thanks again for the honesty, and the good words. I appreciate it!
