I told them that I didn't want a spot anymore on the waitlist..

I just got a packet from ChapHill telling me to attend. The letter was dated 6/17. Fin Aid didn't come with it, and I'll just go ahead and send a response stating a "No."

Good luck to all the rest :D

PS. I signed in onto my Onyen and MyUNC and received my aid. It was pretty much crap. 16k for in-state tuition - 2500 work study - 500 perkins loan = my EFC. Heh, I guess they don't have much more grant money to hand out.

DONT GIVE UP HOPE ON THE WAITLIST!

this is my first time posting on this website even though ive had it bookmarked from the beginning of the school year and have read it religiously. i am pretty superstitious and didnt want to write on here before i knew for sure where i was going for college. i was scared that if i wrote on here then i would always say that it was the reason i didnt get in to carolina.

im writing now because i got into the best university in the world. i got my packet in the mail today.

im not gonna lie, i was shocked. i had completely given up hope on this. a few days ago i saw there were exactly two weeks til the final word, and i knew it wasnt gonna happen. well, i was wrong. and i love it. thanks to everybody on this site, if nothing else, youve helped me pass the time. yall are all great and im sure very deserving of admission.

thank you.

ps. i had a 4.48 final gpa and 1300 sat, and went to broughton in raleigh, nc

Congrats, the_8omb! (i took my SAT at broughton and it's actually pretty spacey unlike Enloe)

For anyone wondering or just for future reference for waitlisters still praying:
I didn't send in anything after wait list, though I did call. no final transcript given (my rank went up 27 from 60 to 33). GPA through midyear was (W) 4.65~ and (U) 3.5~. 13 APs taken, 1420/2120 SAT, 720 Bio SAT2, 690 Math2 SAT2. Oh.. I went to a top public HS in NC

we are out of town but D got a phone call from admissions earlier this week. We'll see if something is in the mail when we get home.

hey the_8omb, what year did you graduate from broughton? i'm transferring too and graduated from broughton 2005.

i just graduated last week. and i got the phone call but they didnt leave a message but we figured it out by looking at our missed calls..?

congrats the_8omb!!!!!

so have transfer students been notified already, because when i called admissions last week Wed. they told me they had not yet called anyone?
im still waiting...

r adams I'm still waiting on the transfer list as well.. I think most of the people were notified about a week and a half ago so I've lost most hope and just hoping for a miracle at this point

hey guys i just got accepted to UNC-CH and i was wondering what i need to fill out... i was waitlisted and i think i am BEHIND on ALL of the information that i need! Everything needs to be turned in in like a week! oh and does anyone know what would happen to financial aid if my parents filled out the 2006 tax returns one because the 2007 didnt arrive after i filled out my application and sent it. they need verification or something and the 2007 tax returns doesnt match my parents 2006 one.

Congrats uvawhoo----My D came in off waitlist last month---you will catch up pretty quickly----send in your deposit, sign up for CTOPS, get your health records in, and apply for and put in a deposit for housing---sorry, I don't know much about the financial aid

cotten88 - My brother got a letter from UNC in the mail today saying they weren't taking any transfers off the wait list this year.
