well, looks like the waitlist is now closed. Admissions counselor emailed me saying that the letters notifying us that the waitlist is closed and that the class is full would go out early next week. :(( I put my whole heart into this, but i guess my grades, passions, demonstrated interest, recs, and even visit after being wait listed weren’t enough. Congrats to those who were successful! Does anyone know how many people they took from the waitlist?

NDgirl24 and others,

It hurts to be rejected especially if the rejection came from your “dream school”. Everyone I know was rejected by at least one institution so you are not alone.

Also, your college career is not over, it has not even started. I know one person transferring to Cornell (going to her dream school) and another transferring to Columbia (his parents’ dream school) after their freshman years at different schools that do not carry the same “prestigious” labels.

Set new goals or new timelines for old goals and good luck achieving them.

Has everyone who was pulled off the waitlist been notified already?

I didn’t get phone calls or anything in the mail yet.

Just got letter that waitlist was closed and I wouldn’t be getting a spot. I never agreed/asked to be on waitlist. I thought you had to agree/notify to stay on waitlist after initial notification at the end of March. If I knew I was remaining on waitlist I would have sent updates etc

were you waitlisted? it probably hurt to not respond to the notice that said you wanted/ didn’t want to accept a position on the waitlist. what were your stats?
