I know for other colleges you want to send emails to let them know your interest. Is this the same with WUSTL?

It is always a good idea to contact the school to show interest. And I have been told (not for WUSTL in particular) that it is good to mention you don’t need financial aid if that is true. You should try to tell the school something new in your correspondence. Not to be discouraging, but in the past I have heard that Wash U waitlists a lot more students than other schools.
