Waitlist results?

When do the waitlist results come out? I've been waiting and I'm getting so anxious now that it's past May 1st. Does anyone know when I get to find out?

Thanks!

I found this bit of info on their website. Hope this helps and good luck to you!

‘Most activity on the waiting list will take place in early May, once we have heard from all the students we have admitted. However, there is an inevitable “ripple effect” when other colleges go to their waiting lists and some of those who deposited at Wesleyan choose to accept an offer off the waiting list from another school. So, these waves can go on for quite a while (affecting fewer and fewer students) until the end of June. We do send a letter to all those still waiting as soon as we know that we will not admit any more people from our waiting list.’

Man, I’m hoping Wes takes a lot of people off their waiting list this year. The previous statistics don’t inspire much confidence in me.

End of June?! Holy crap. Kill me already D:

I emailed the admissions office and they said they will probably not even look at the waitlist for at least another week

Has anyone heard yet? If so, by mail, phone???

I emailed the admissions department. They said that right now they have more deposits than spots in the class, and that the number of people that they expect to lose by september is less than the number of people over the class size.

What this means: Us waitlistees might be SOL.

say it ain’t so

i really hope that there’s a lot of depositted people who get into better schools than wes from waitlists…

I just got rejected off the waitlist, did anyone else hear anything?

I, unfortunately, got the same email, Daj. However, I’m not surprised. When I called earlier this week, my regional rep seemed doubtful that they would use their waiting list.

I don’t seem to have gotten such an e-mail, was it an automated message or a personal one?

Even if we weren’t rejected, it doesn’t seem like we’re going to receive much better news.

yeah, honestly it doesn’t feel like much relief, just that they’re cutting down the list because they know they probably won’t need it at all.

is there any date where we’ll receive a final confirmation of our status?

^They tell us when the waitlist is closed, but that can be late June or early July, I think.

Just received the “closed application file” letter, good luck to those that are left, now I’m just waiting out Amherst.

DS also just got the “closed application file” letter. While it’s always hard to feel unwanted, I think he’s very happy to be going to Tufts. Best of luck to all who are still waiting!

Rejected off the waitlist just now. Best of luck to those who still have hope.

supportivemom1–DS hasn’t received a notification yet, but he too is (happily) going to Tufts!
