So I just logged into agora this morning…I’ve got the six tabs!!! Yet, still waiting for a letter here.

What does 6 tabs mean?

colmom:

When you log into agora, the standard page shows FIVE links/tabs (Admission Status/Financial Aid Status/Create-Update Mail address/Password Q&A/Sign Out). Of those that have been accepted, all have had a SIXTH link/tab available, usually while the fat envelope was in the mail.

Keeping fingers crossed for Ship.

But, there is probably still some hope for the 5-tabbers. When the top schools go to their WL (early next week?), a trickle down will occur.

Alas, no 6th tab! I think this family is accepting BU in heart and mind. Congrats to all who got into BC.

Jacoby, nice to hear you got in. I remember the stress the tab situatio caused back in March. Did you get any FA?

I haven’t heard anything from BC and I don’t have alot of hope. Fortunately, I got a call from Wake Forest saying I was accepted. Unfortunately, the gave me cruddy aid so it looks like I am going to GW.

Just curious, those that got off, did you do anything extra?

HI everyone:

I received a phone call from my director connection that I was in, to check Agora, and letter was mailed today (I do not live on the East Coast).

FYI: I had accepted my BU spot, but BC was my hands down first choice-praying for everyone and wishing everyone the best! Good luck-our luck is turning!

Congrats, gtcib!

gtcib: so did anything change on your agora account? did you get the 6th tab, or anything additional?

Yes, just before I got the call, I had logged onto Agora. For the first time, there were 6 tabs and the “new” one took me to “Click here to accept your admission and register for housing” or some such language.

I was highly confused. No “Congratulations! You are off the wait list” etc… My mom and I had no idea what to do and were staring at the computer like it was going to explode when the call came (not kidding). The caller was very clear, “Congratualtions etc… Letter should be arriving my Tuesday” (we live in the Midwest) and that I should log on to Agora- Too late pal!

Anyway, I feel this is one of those “If I can do it, you can do it” things. I am truly hoping that everyone who wants to get into BC from this site does-good luck!

Congrats, gtcib. Still waiting but will probably give up the ghost in a few days. My poor S, needs to get his head around a place and this is really making the end of his senior year a drag.

i didnt get a 6th tab, instead when i went to application status there were 3 links one was to pay the $500 deposit, one was to reject admission and one was to defer admission to a later date. So i went ahead and payed the 500 so im in.

accepted off the waitlist today! definitely going to attend

for those of you getting off the waitlist, did you send any letters/grades/reccs/emails/calls etc?

I was accepted on saturday as well. I will attend, but I just have to wait to see what my financial aid award will before I can officially say I’m going.

For additional info, I sent them my 3rd term grades (my school has 5 terms and that was the most recent in early April) as well as a letter reaffirming my desire to attend.

Congrats to those accepted and good luck to all others…I’m sure they’re still working on that waitlist.

for those of you who got in, what was your gpa/sats/major?

ship2591: did you send an email or a real letter reaffirming your interest? And when they contacted you did they call/email/send a letter?

Thanks

if you sent your grades, etc via postal mail, who did you send it to? did you just send it to the person who signed your letter or to the general admissions office? sorry about all the questions, i’m just getting paranoid that they never got/lost/misplaced my grades/letter since i just sent it to the lady who signed my waitlist letter…

just checked my application status as fgg did and also had a link to pay my deposit, so it looks as if I am in as a sophomore transfer… congrats to all others

I sent a short paragraph on how much I wanted to attend, as well as my most recent report card, via the mail, and sent it to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

My GPA is a 3.4
My SAT score is 1810

I go to a school that BC allows interviews with (most they will not interview)

So, just keep working hard in HS, and hope for the best

Also, I had some connections that helped me along.

Good luck to everyone!
