congratulations!! we’re you transferring from another college or did you apply as a high school senior? also if you don’t mind telling us your stats that would be great. congrats again morgan!!
how is everyone doing? i think most of us are stressed and worried since we have to wait a bit longer but what are you guys doing now? have you guys decided if you want to deposit to another school, requesting an expedited decision, or proceeding to wait longer etc?? just curious.
I am not too sure yet, but by the looks of it I’m probably going to end up asking for an expedited decision.
This situation has been so stressful, but I think I’m going to stick It out and wait a little longer. I know my test scores and GPA aren’t the best, but I never thought I would still be waiting for a decision 6 months later…
Yeah I also want to wait a little longer honestly. It’s just I can’t wait too long, so if I don’t get an acceptance soon, I’m going to probably resort to requesting an expedited decision.
how long have you been on the waitlist? don’t think it matters because some waited longer than others but just curious. congratulations
There’s just a lot of questions I have when it comes to the expedited decision. Like how long does it take for them to give you the decision after you request it? Do they accept everyone’s request to have one? If you give them a date you need it by, will they be able to agree to give you the decision by then or will they just say something like “we can’t guarantee a certain date”?
i read someone where you will still have to wait for an expedited decision; however, you will probably receive it before the date you want it by (this is an assumption from what i’ve researched. i suggest you call or email the ucf admissions office sometime soon, i hear they’re really helpful.

probably calling them woule be quicker
Yeah, I think I’ll call them tomorrow
i emailed them yesterday and they replied back to me today and said that if you would like a final decision then you can request for one. not sure if they mean by the same thing as expedited decision but i’m assuming so. i think they took my question as if i wanted faster results so i think this can relate to anyone who wants to request an expedited decision.
and they did say that they’re reviewing the waitlist on a daily basis, hence why a recent person got off the waitlist yesterday (day after april 15th).
I suspect that if you request a “FINAL” decision, they’re going to give you the only decision they can at this point – no.
yeah, that’s how i also took it as so i will continue on waiting patiently.
Yeah, the only way to get off of the waitlist is if they have an open space for you. I feel like asking for an expedited decision will just result in an automatic rejection if they don’t have an open spot. So I’m just going to wait
So I called ucf and they said an expedited decision takes about a week
oh okay, if you really need an answer as soon as possible (i believe you said your parents want you to have an answer soon) then i guess you have to resort to it. but i think you talked about your second choice before and it is also a great school.
Yeah, I plan on requesting an expedited decision on Monday and then we’ll see what happens from there. If I don’t get in then it just wasn’t meant to be. Rollins is a nice school so I will be happy there too.
I was accepted into spring today! (I was off the waitlist aswell)
Congratulations Ashley!
