Is it hard to get into a waitlist class-specifically, English Comp 3?

How high are my chances if there are 0 other waitlisted people? 2 other waitlisted people?

Sorry, adding another question.

Should I attempt to get into Eng Comp 3 in place of Music History 62 (Mozart) or should I just keep Mozart and take Eng Comp 3 next quarter?

If you’ve got a week to wait, English Comp professors usually manage to get people off the waitlist by the second class meeting when they exclude the no-shows (the department policy, I think, is to wait until then). Sometimes, depending on the professor, they’ll also add people over the cap. Should you be high on the waitlist, though, you might just get in without even realizing it when people decide to drop just before the class begins. I’ve seen this happen a lot in my experience.

Nevertheless, I don’t think it would hurt to wait until next quarter to take English Comp 3 as long as Mozart is helping you fulfill a GE.
