waitlist

just waitlisted in NY. the chances for getting off the waitlist arent THAT great, something like 56/370-something. also, i already sent in a million supplemental essays/recommendations. is it worth it for me to accept a place on the waitlist, because after this whole process, i am energyless. and if so, what else should i do?

waitlisted as well... damn my not interviewing and not having a stronger app. oh well.

I just found out that I'm waitlisted. Which is really bad because several hours earlier, I was notified of my Cornell rejection. Badddd day

My daughter too was waitlisted. I called the admission's office at the recommendation of an article I read...it suggested finding out what number she is on the list so as to decide whether or not to bother. Interestingly, she (an admission officer) said their list is not ranked. Applicants who write letters and actively pursue admission are the ones admitted. So do not give up hope. Let them know how much you want to go!!!!!

Wait-listed...but I got into Trinity, which is my second choice. I still want W&L!
Does anyone know how many students are on the wait list, or the earliest we'll be notified?

What I can say is that I know of a lot of people who got off the waitlist who are in my class. In fact, I think the majority of girls living above me were waitlisted. There's definitely a pretty good shot of admission... just keep pursuing it.
