Know of any dates that you have to hear by?

I’m tring to figure out if my friend is going to get in or not. Could you please post your stats?

SAT 2050
GPA ~3.6-3.7 ish (uw) (First semester senior year was a 3.98)
AP/IB coursework

gpa 3.7ish also top 10% ACT 29
just a few APs but full schedule of hon and many many ECs w/ leadership positions

i don’t think it’s stats you have to worry about… just a lot more ppl applied cuz it’s been in the best buy category & the US economy’s bad, assuming you’re from the US

Why is McGill so difficult for U.S. students to get into? The price difference must cause a huge market distortion, leading to the difference in the quality of U.S. applicants. Also, the Quebec quota…you do realize there is virtually open admissions for Quebec residents and French Bac students? If you guys really want to go to McGill, just go to Concordia and transfer.

^Maybe you are right in which case, show me the source.

I know its easier to get in if you have a CEGEP diploma (but you can’t go straight into McGill from Grade 12 as a Quebec student). I can’t find any info on the Quebec residency issue you are talking about (nor doubt going to another college in Quebec would make you a resident either- that usually doesn’t work or all students would end up with in-state benefits by their second year). They also indicate transfers are on an availability basis so may be quite limited.

I’m not trying to argue, I’m trying to learn. So maybe you can tell me where I could read about this?
