Waitlist

I saw a link about how to get on wait list for full courses: http://reg.ucsc.edu/Faqs/wait_list_add.pdf

But how do we add a wait list class if all the discussion sections are full? MyUCSC doesn't allow us to click on 'next' unless an open d-sec is chosen.

EDIT: Never mind, it says we can't wait list if all sections are closed T_T

email the professor and ask if you can be placed on the wait list. :]

is there anybody else who couldnt get in 80B or got waitlisted? im taking a class thats the equivalent of C1 and i will pass the class but the advisor says 80B is full and if i dont get into 80B by waitlist i have to retake 80A(which is stupid because i already have credit for the class so id have to retake it???)

Because all non-transfers have to take core. That’s just how it goes. =/

so even tho i pass the C1 equivalent class and i cant get into C2 i automatically have to take C1+C2?? they cant open another class or put me into the class?

Uh…if they don’t have enough demand to fill another core course, they won’t open one. And there are limits as to how many people can be in each classroom.

I will say there is some hope though. One of my friend was incoming as a freshman but had enough credits to be considered a transfer, so he was not reserved a place in core. He talked to an adviser and got an enrollment code for a core class.
