Ok so I was waitlisted at Harvard, and I know it could be anything, but I think the one of the main culprits were my SAT IIs. Does it make sense for me to retake those on the next SAT date (May 1st) and send those in ASAP with my written update, or will it be too late?

BTW, test scores were 630 (Math II), 670 (Biology-M) and 720 (U.S. History) Clearly, in my opinion, one of the weakest parts of my application.

I doubt they didn’t accept you because of your SAT II scores. I think you should be very grateful you were even waitlisted if your scores are that “low.” That means the rest of your app was super-amazing so CONGRATS! Even if it was your SAT II scores, chances are you won’t do any better this time around (unless… for example, you took bio after freshman bio and are now taking AP bio).

Talking about admissions procedures with admissions officers has let me surprised. In some cases, test scores mattery to a very small extent or almost nothing. If other things in the application speak against your scores, they may give full weight to the non exam part.

@dsalazar6608, haha, I’m psychic much? Good luck with everything! I’m a junior and will probably be going through this next year… if I’m lucky (meaning I’m most likely going to be outright rejected by Harvard). If it makes you feel any better, Harvard is known for being not-so-nice to their undergrads compared to their graduates and if you got waitlisted at Harvard I’m sure you got into some other amazing schools where you will be just as (if not more) happy :).
