I just got waitlisted for the BA&Sc department at McGill. Does anyone know what the chances of being accepted off the waitlist are? And if I accept the waitlist offer, is it binding or will it cost me anything? Would help me get accepted if I send a letter and recommendation plus an update of what I've been doing since I applied (which was the beginning of December)?

Does anyone have ANY advice? Any and all inputs are welcome!

I’m in exactly the same situation as you. I’ve been trying to find information about the McGill waitlist but haven’t been successful. I don’t think accepting the wait list makes it binding. I asked my councelor if I should send in a recommendation letter and she said that all McGill really cared about was grades… so I don’t know. Apparently I have to wait until July, when my IB exam results come out.
Good luck!

If you agree to be on the waitlist and are then admitted from the waitlist, you would then accept the admission offer and pay the deposit. If you decide against McGill over the summer, just notify them that you will not be coming. You would forfeit your deposit.
At this point, extra info sent to McGill would not be considered. On the McGill forum on CC, some students have indicated that they have already been accepted off the waitlist.
