Waitlisted Candidates~!

I applied to the other Trinity, Union, Lehigh, Lafayette, Gettysburg,Washington and Lee and Depauw. Got accepted at DePauw with only $22000 scholatship on 28th so wont be able to attend.
When did they sent out the letters to internationals last year?

^^^^ same pinch dude.
Got accepted by Depauw to pay 31k …LMAO…Depauw has been like " you won’t get your need met"…:(

BTW, I had applied to 7 colleges …2 decision made…3rd waitlisted and rest yet to come…
I took a risk this year with no safeties :frowning: :frowning: …i just pray it turns out well…;)

I just recognized that all the waitlisted people I know were notified in early-March. Is it possible that Trinity notifies the waitlisted people first?

It doesn’t make any sense…

I mean: Trinity will notify the waitlisted before the accepted and/or the rejected, so that the waitlisted will take their time to submit more things to Trinity? Last year, some of friends who got off-waitlist faced the same situation

Under what base they waitlisted their candidates before making decisions for the others?

As far as I comprehend the situation, they are unwilling to meet the financial need of these candidates, because they placed them in the waitlist without comparing to the potential accepted candidates. In simple words - “We don’t want to pay them, we will waitlist them, we will accept candidates with better financial situation and if there are free spots afterwards, we will make the sacrifice by paying for a few of these candidates”.

Well, based on what Mr. Maloof said (I emailed him few days ago), I made my guess. Anyway, it’s just my guess

Here is the inside story of Trinity admission rule IMHO:
Trinity will admit everyone who meets the academic ability and other factors regardless of financial situation. However, those who got accepted will receive different amounts of scholarship (meet or not meet your need). If you guys got waitlisted without any clear assertion about financial aid, it means that you guys don’t fully qualify for Trinity at the moment!!!

hi guys i applied to trinity too and have not received a decision yet…i also asked for a significant amount of aid…really significant, i said id pay $4000…does that mean i might get rejected??

Well I asked for the same amont of aid and I have been waitlisted too. Keeping my fingers crossed, hope my stats are enough.

Acidently wrote waitlisted, I am not waitlisted.

@ALI: So you were accepted or rejected?

Nothing, no notification yet

^^^ liar liar pants on fire…:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:
So you are waitlisted huh??? you couldn’t make that mistake .
huh??? :D

BTW, what do the admin officers say to you ? i guess you have heard from them in your case? tell us.

@ALI: so we’re in the same case now. Let’s pray for the best :)

Swear wasnt waitlisted, I was sleepy when I was came online, read waitlisted so many times that I accidently wrote it. It will be hard for them to waitlist me anyhow not many people from my country apply to this Trinity.

lol… 10chars…

@ALI.
So you are getting an acceptance under " one country one student" policy , huh??? LMAO!!  :stuck_out_tongue: :p

BTW, i didn’t noticed that in FAQs link we were sent, there 'twas mentioned that we need to write interest letters but MR. MALOOF said we need not . What is this??? Do anyone of you have idea??
And, as duongviethai said…i guess i am done with the thing…if it is so , it means ‘all you waitlisted ppl have little hope then’. :frowning: :(

Skox, don’t be so sure about that. I know 3 persons that got off-waitlist.
